Instructions on using the program:

Locatext is used to search for a text string within individual files or files
within a sub directory.

Take the File Search option on the menu bar and a dialog box will be displayed
to allow you to select files. Multiple files within a directory can be
selected by holding down the left mouse button and dragging the cursor.

Non contiguous multiple slections can be made by holding down CTRL when
clicking on individual files (i.e. if you want to search several files but
they are not displayed consecutively). Press OK and you will be offered
an input box to enter your text string. Press OK and you will be given
the option to make the search case sensitive.

As the search runs, it will inform you of each file where the text has been
found and give you the option to stop the search at that point.

All results of the search appear in the list box. To make use of the results
select a file on the list box by clicking on it and then take the File
Copy option on the menu bar. This copies that path and filename to the
clipboard.

Open the application for the file and take the File Open option. Click on
the Filename box on the dialog box and click the right button of the mouse.
There is usually a Paste option - click on this and the filename will be
pasted in - click on OK to load the file.
